Bagelshop started in our home kitchen between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2019. We’d recently had our daughter and Max experienced a job layoff. With some extra time on our hands and trying to navigate what direction our family would go next, we discovered bagels.

After lots of recipe testing we created something we were proud of. We made an Instagram page and a Google Form, and Bagelshop was born. We’d bake early in the morning and take turns making deliveries across Nashville between naptime.

This small operation quickly outgrew our home kitchen so we found ourselves in a shared kitchen space preparing for pop-ups and farmer’s markets across the city. We found our first shop by a fluke in a downtown Nashville hotel for a few years but always dreaming of having a space that felt like ours. In December of 2023 we proudly opened the doors to Bagelshop in Donelson.
